January 2005
Hosts: The Heaths Menu: White Chicken Chili
The first dinner club meeting of 2005 took place on a very cold evening in Mount Airy. It also co-incided with the AFC/NFC championship games that did not turn out the way anyone in the club wanted. Ken had the flu and Warren was on-call, so we were two families short, but everyone else made it despite the questionable weather. I have a feeling that dinner club will get very interesting over the next few months as members are expecting babies in March, April, and May.
February 2005
Hosts: The McMichaels Menu: Super Bowl - Wings and Pizza
Keith and Sharon hosted a dinner club that doubled as a Super Bowl party and post baby shower get-together. It will be the last club they will host without baby McMichael in the house. Sharon's due date is in early March. I think everyone had a good time, especially the kids as there were plenty of them about to play with.
April 2005
Hosts: The Hunts Menu : BBQ Chicken
Brian and Jenny hosted on a beautiful Spring evening in Greensboro. We stopped on our way home from Colonial Heights. The Joyces came straight from their trip to New York. Warren, Jennifer and Emma were absent, due to Bethany Grace's arrival the night before. New Mom and Dad McMichael and Baby Kasey were not able to make it. But everyone else was on hand for some fantastic barbeque chicken. Jeff and Reba Cox were there also with their three boys.
MAY 2005
Hosts: The Joyce Family Menu : Barbeque
Kasey McMichael and Bethany Davis both came to their first dinner club meeting. They were the sweetest and best mannered members in attendance. We had both sweet and spicy barbecue on the menu and it was delicious. Besides the main course, there was baked beans, home made hushpuppies, and pineapple butter gooey cake. Landon had a big bubble blowing area setup and the kids played outside when it wasn't raining. When it was raining, Amy had them all jumping on Landon's mattress play zone.

We hosted a successful and fun Dinner Club tonight. We are waiting to hear that Brooke is feeling better, everyone missed the Joyce family tonight. Anita, Stephen and little Jimmy made it down the mountain from Meadows of Dan.
August 2005
Hosts: The Davis Family Menu: Mexican
Big shout out to the Davis family for
hosting this month. Everyone made it to dinner, plus
we brought our friend Virginia to play with the other kids. The enchiladas
were the bomb and I ate at least a quarter of Brooke's
apple enchilada dessert.
One day I'll let you in on what had everyone smiling as they drove away and
saying "WOW!!", then repeating that several times before getting home.

We missed this one, so I have no photos or details. But I'm sure it was great.
October 2005

I'm not going to say that the food was good anymore, because we all know by now that it is always good.
