January 2004

Hosts:
The Hunts. Menu:
Brian's Famous Chili
Dinner Club followed Molly's three year old birthday party at Brian and Jenny's this month. We missed Tonya and Ken and hope to see them next month. The chili was awesome, the party was fun, and Carolina beat Philly to head to the Super Bowl. Can't beat that combination.
February 2004
Hosts: The McMichaels. Menu: Soup and Sandwiches
The Heaths missed this one, so I lifted a pic from the Joyce website.
Hosts: The Joyce Family. Menu: Chicken
Warren and Jennifer were away celebrating their sixth wedding anniversary and Jenny had to work. But everyone else made it, plus Damion, Kara, and Beave. Beautiful day and, as is the case every month, great food.
April 2004
Hosts: The Davis Family. Menu: Mexican
The Mexican food was really, really good. Everyone was able to make it to dinner this month. I ate at least a plate of the homemade cookies Tonya and Ken brought. The evening was nice and the kids spent lots of time playing in Emma's backyard.
May 2004
Hosts: The Williams. Menu: Hamburgers and Hotdogs
We are on a roll with nice evenings for the dinner club. The kids and Sharon got to run around all night outside. Little Landon had a fever, so the Joyce family wasn't able to make it.
June 2004
Hosts: The Heaths. Menu: Homemade Pizzas and Lasagna
The Hunts were the only regulars not able to make it, Brian had a hurt back. But we did have a couple of extra guests, Anita and Stephen Epperly (and their new puppy, LadyBug). It was fun to see Landon cruising and Anita just three weeks shy of her due date.
July 2004
Hosts: The Hunts. Menu: Pork Loin
A fun nice night on the Greensboro leg of the Dinner Club. Everyone was able to make it, the weather was nice, and the food fantastic. Jackson said he didn't want any of the pork loin because he didn't like it. I put one piece in his mouth, he chewed for awhile, then said "I don't like it." As I was walking away he said "Maybe I'll eat one more to make sure I don't like it." He then ate everything I had cut up for him.
August 2004
Hosts: Joyce Family. Menu:
Same thing every month, good food, good friends, and good weather.
September 2004
Hosts: McMichaels Menu: BBQ
A nice cool evening spent in Walnut Cove. For me personally, Brian's hushpuppies were the bomb, and so was the BBQ. All the food was excellent, but those hushpuppies, mmmmm mmmmm. The club is definitely in expansion mode with two more members expected next spring.
October/November 2004
Hosts: The Davis Family Menu: Ham and Turkey
Unfortunately the Heaths missed this month, so we don't have any thing to report.
December 2004
Hosts: The Williams Menu: Appetizers and Finger Foods
Maybe it's just me, but I think this month had the best food yet. I know I say that every month, but this month's was awesome. There were meatballs, sausage balls, pizza dip, sausage/cheese dip, white chocolate brownies, peanut butter gooey cake, twice baked potatos, fruit, and those green beans wrapped in bacon that I ate so many of. Host Tonya conducted a "twas the night before Christmas" Dirty Santa game that was a lot of laughs. As of this dinner club, the last of '04, we know that in '05 there will be one more McMichael (a boy), one more Davis (a girl), and one more Joyce (undecided). It may take a bigger couch to hold all the kids for the annual December group shot (see last year)
