Thursday, July 6th, 2006. I don't know who started it, but after each explosion of fireworks Tuesday night, the boys would yell "That's my style!" if they liked it or "Dinky" if they didn't.  Ben picked up on this with a fervor and would excitedly point at each display and yell "That's MY style!!!!!!"  When everything calmed down and we were back inside, Ben told me "Daddy, I got lots of styles."

The morning was rainy, so Amy took the boys to Sci-Works in Winston-Salem after first making a stop by the sporting goods store for Jimmy.  They spent over four hours at Sci-Works, so they must have had a good time.  We have been in the throws of a heavy drought until recently.  The rivers had turned into trickling creeks before our recent change in weather.  Only ten inches of rain had fallen all year before the nine inches we received at the end of June.  Finally having water in the rivers, but not being able to go kayaking is like getting your drivers license at sixteen and not being allowed to take the car out for a spin.  It's like I've been waiting forever and now it's just killing me to not be out there.

Amy has now been getting up at four in the morning and going to the gym five days a week for something like five months, which means I've been saying that I am going to start exercising again for something like five months.  She still goes to boot camp twice a week, but running has now replaced spin class and yoga.  She is running as much as four to five miles before my feet even hit the floor each morning.  Some days she goes to boot camp AND runs.  I'm very proud of her.

Today's photo was taken last week when our nephew Jesse and Jackson were digging things out of the dress-up basket.   You can check out some of our past photo projects here.
