Wednesday the 9th. Congratulations Keith and Sharon!  Baby Kasey McMichael was born early this morning at 12:07 AM and weighed 7lbs 9ozs.

As of today, Sue's doctor is not releasing her to come home this weekend, even with Amy staying at her house to help take care of her.  They also are not going to let her enter a rehabilitation center in Richmond until she is a little stronger.  So it looks like Sue will need to transfer to an outside care facility for possibly a week or two until her health improves enough to return home.  When that happens, Amy plans on staying with her for a week or more.  After that we are hoping that Sue will be healthy enough for the trip to Mount Airy where she can stay with us until she feels well enough to go it on her own again.  Mo stopped by to pick up Jackson and Papa followed right behind her to get Benjamin.  They spent the evening in Claudville.  Amy worked tonight, so after waiting for the great casserole Amy left in the oven finished cooking, I ate it while it was hot, then drove to Virginia to pick them up.  Jackson wanted to spend the night, so Ben and I returned to Mount Airy without him, put Astral Weeks in the player, and settled in for a nice quite evening.  Speaking of Van Morrison, can anyone think of better lyrics to open an album than ...

"If I ventured in the slipstream
Between the viaducts of your dream
Where immobile steel rims crack
And the ditch and the back roads stop
Could you find me?"

Ben fell straight asleep of course and, just for kicks, I let him do that in Jackson's bed.  Which left me alone with a frosted glass of Yuengling and the website to update. Amy later came home and joined me, only she prefers a wine glass to my frosted mug.
